Nepal is a wonderful and country with the Himalayas as one of the focal points of tourism. The other points include the impressive, friendly and welcoming people, the deep culture and the excitement of the cities and the countryside.
I chose this trekking holiday, with Himalayan Social Journey, because I knew the people and the process from an experience one year prior where I succumbed to pneumonia upon reaching Namche Bazaar. The company managed my extraction and medical care faultlessly and professionally.
This year I completed the trek to Mt Everest Base Camp with 15 other trekkers from Australia. We grew to like and respect each other very quickly with camaraderie that enabled a support and social structure. Our Guide, trainee guides and Yak Porter were highly professional and quickly became friends. The information provided by our guide was exemplary and included deep descriptions of history, geography, fauna, flora and culture.
